Perched high on the slopes of Mount Elgon, the Sipi Falls Wet Mill unites more than 8,000 small organic farms across Uganda’s Kapchorwa District under one shared pursuit: quality. Built in 2002 as Africa’s first certified organic wet mill, Sipi Falls transformed home processing traditions into a sustainable, community-scale model. Here, ripe Bourbon, SL14, SL28, and Blue Mountain cherries are washed, fermented, and sun-dried on raised beds—each step carefully managed at 1800 meters for clarity and balance in the cup.
The result is a clean, comforting coffee that pairs soft melon sweetness with round chocolate richness, a reflection of both the volcanic loam soil and the harmony of shared craftsmanship. With every harvest, Sipi Falls continues to show how collaboration and elevation—literal and figurative—can shape something quietly elevated.
