Built for rhythm. Roasted for conversation.

Goldchild was built from the grind up, not just in the roaster, but in life.
Every part of this place carries a story of resilience, rhythm, and care.

We roast light to let the origin speak.
We serve with warmth so people do, too.

Founded by Jeff Rambo and Mariela Mosquera, Goldchild is where competition-level precision meets the kind of hospitality that makes you stay longer than you planned.

Jeff’s path to coffee started with curiosity and turned into purpose.
He rebuilt his craft, and himself, one roast at a time, chasing clarity, flavor, and a deeper kind of meaning.

Mariela, born in Ecuador, raised in Sweden, grew up surrounded by the ritual of Fika,  slowing down, sharing pastry and coffee, and connecting with others. That rhythm shaped her love for baking and for creating spaces that bring people together.
Her design and pastry both come from the same place: intention, warmth, and care.

Together, they turned coffee into connection.

The bar moves to the sound of rap, R&B, hip-hop, and Motown — music that carries the same soul and precision as the coffee itself.
The air smells like espresso and Swedish pastry.
Every pour, every question, every exchange matters here.

We don’t just want you to taste coffee.
We want you to understand it, where it comes from, how it’s made, and how it can bring people together.

Goldchild is bigger than a cafe.
It’s our way of doing things: slow, precise, and full of heart.
A reminder that great coffee, like great culture, is timeless.

  • Jeff Rambo

Founder Jeff has spent years perfecting coffee — from running two successful shops, to rebuilding his life after a sudden illness that left him paralyzed. Coffee fueled his recovery, and Goldchild became his “golden child”: a space where excellence, creativity, and hospitality come together.

  • Our Mission

We created Goldchild to prove that you don’t have to choose between world-class coffee and world-class service. Here, you get both — every single time.

  • Mariela Mosquera

Ela, co-founder and designer, brings her Swedish influence and passion for baking to Goldchild. Inspired by the Swedish tradition of fika — the art of slowing down over coffee and pastries — she has created a bakery menu that blends heritage with craft. As an interior designer, Ela has also shaped Goldchild’s aesthetic: bold, soulful, and elevated.
