Asbi’s Estate – Lychee Cofermented Typica, Rambung - Indonesia
In the tropical highlands of Bener Meriah, Sumatra, Asbi’s Estate, in partnership with the Central Sumatera Coffee Company, explores fermentation as art. This lychee cofermented Typica and Rambung lot begins with carefully depulped cherries, inoculated with yeast and infused with dried lychee fruit before undergoing a controlled anaerobic fermentation. The result is an unmistakable profile—lychee at the forefront, supported by notes of pear, white grape, and soft florals.
Each cup reflects the precision and curiosity driving a new era of Indonesian coffee. The estate’s wet-hulled process—an Indonesian tradition—adds a silky structure beneath the fruit, balancing innovation with origin. What emerges is both familiar and otherworldly: a vivid, aromatic coffee that bridges Sumatra’s heritage with its future.
