Perched along the volcanic slopes of Cerro El Gigante, the Suchini family has spent decades transforming once-barren land into a thriving coffee sanctuary. Since 1994, their work at El Gigante Coffee Estate has been guided by balance—between innovation and preservation, progress and tradition. Their Natural Anaerobic Geisha undergoes a 96-hour sealed fermentation before drying under the Guatemalan sun, resulting in a cup layered with jasmine, rose, and sweet peach, finishing with a honeyed nectarine glow. Beyond the cup, the family’s commitment runs deep: 80 percent of their workforce is made up of local women, and surrounding forestland continues to be purchased and replanted to protect native ecosystems.
